Johann Sebastian Bach wrote the cantata "Du sollst Gott, deinen Herren, lieben" between the years 1723 and 1727. The librettist of this cantata, Dominica 13 post Trinitatis (from dreizehneten Sunday after Trinity), is unknown. One of the rare arias for trumpet, alto and continuo we find in this cantata BWV 77th.
