Leopold Mozart 1719-1787
Concerto pour trompette en ré majeur / Concertino per il Clarino Solo
Trompette en D / C / A (Piccolo), piano (orgue)
Publication et édition Edward H. Tarr
"This work was composed in August 1762 and survives in the form of an autograph score. In addition it is to be found as the fourth and fifth movements of a serenade – the only surviving one among 30 serenades composed by Leopold Mozart. That it has only two movements could have to do with its function within a serenade; one of the two trumpet concertos composed by his contemporary Michael Haydn (1737-1806) can also be found in a serenade." (Excerpt from the Preface [German / English] Prof. Dr. Edward H. Tarr)
