According to the composer’s manuscript remark, this charming work was performed for the fi rst time on 16 October 1822 in Valençay. Neukomm’sthematic index, and the additional remark: „Ce morceau a été exécuté à la chapelle de l’hospice à Valençay à l’occasion de la distribution des prix“ and the fact that the work was later published in Leipzig.
