Danzi was in various fields of music at home. As a chamber musician, a performing artist and as a composer he made his name.

As a composer Danzi enriched in fulfillment of official obligations in theater and church almost all the usual forms of vocal music, which he composed great operas in the field of stage composition. From Mannheim tradition he wrote symphonies and chamber music from duo to sextet partly rare instrument combinations. Its innovative, partly still appealing Bläsermusik characterized by charming sounds treatment of instruments, in later string quartets, the marked tendency toward chromaticism significantly forward.
