Anyone who travels a lot and has to keep their embouchure perfect has always wondered what they could do when the instrument cannot be used, e.g. because of the disturbing volume (“inconvenient times” at home, hotel), the lack of space (when driving) or on vacation.
Not only since Rolf Quinque or James Stamp have we known enough methods (a) to keep the lips fit and (b) to bring them into contact with the mouthpiece and thus achieve a result on the instrument. Yes, the “main street” is right.
