Variations on the song "Good King Wenceslas"

The (song) poem "Good King Wenzel" was written before 1849, the exact year is unknown.
The melody is that of an older song, "Tempus Adest Floridum", dating to the end of the 16th century.
As with "What Child Is This?" Written on the older tune "Greensleeves", the text of "Tempus Adest Floridum" has nothing to do with the song "Good King Wenzel". The history of St. Wenceslas is not a Christmas story, but since the Feast of St. Stephen is on the 26th of December, Christmas is the season in which the good deeds of St. Wenceslas are remembered.
